The Colonial Garden was set up in 1906 and boasted more than 4,000 species of plants from the former colonies of Portugal. Today it is known as The Tropical Agricultural Garden of Lisbon. While it's still open to the public a lack of funding and personnel has led to a good portion of it falling into neglect and disrepair.
