Between 1945 and 1991 the people of Germany (aside from West Berlin) were severely limited with their access to various consumer products. After the fall of the Soviet Union Germans could suddenly enjoy a world of new goods and services. Interest in locally made products dropped dramatically and many businesses, including this brewery, closed down.

One of the great things about abandoned buildings is that graffiti artists can create for hours without fear of being disturbed. This piece, by phenomenal street artist Buff Diss, is made entirely out of electrical tape.
